Based on the undying and sturdy Model T chassis, this robust and efficient van served many a tradesman throughout the 1910's and 1920's.
The basic shape not changing for almost 20 years.

When it comes to die-cast veteran cars the Model T reigns supreme, there are more Model T's that anything else, among those Model T's the Models of Yesteryear Model T van is the most ubiquitous. They were made in millions over 10 years or so in dozens of variations. I have dozens of varieties on file and I know I don't yet have them all.

So are they worth having? Well it depends. It is certainly a fine model and deserved its massive popularity which means it always displays well and the low prices for the more common models means that you can get a good collection of mint and boxed examples without spending too much. However there are some which fetch very good money indeed. Often it has to do with the rear doors on the van which can come in three types: (1) Tampo printed with simple outlines, referred to as 'plain'; (2) Tampo printed with decorative fancy design, referred to as 'ornate' and (3) Shut lines in cast relief, referred to as 'engraved'. There is no rule about which of these are valuable, it all depends on how many were made - you really have to do careful research on this one - but it makes picking them up at boot sales fun as you never know what you've got till you get it home and look it up.
